The Opportunity

The Global Integration Education Specialist role is based out of Austin, TX position within the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division.

This is a fully onsite role.

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.

The Global Integration Education Specialist is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of global education initiatives that support new therapy introductions, product launches, portfolio expansions, and strategic education programs across Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), specifically around integrating into different regions.

Working cross-functionally with stakeholders including Regional Education teams, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Professional Education, and commercial partners, this role ensures healthcare professionals (HCPs), faculty, field personnel, customers, and internal stakeholders are prepared to safely, effectively, and consistently adopt Abbott technologies in the different regions.

The Global Integration Education Specialist serves as a key contributor to educational launch readiness, training strategy, curriculum deployment, learning operations, faculty engagement, knowledge transfer, and post-launch adoption activities in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), Asia Pacific, and the Americas. This individual is responsible for coordinating global educational efforts throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring training requirements are identified early, educational deliverables are completed on time, and learning programs are successfully integrated into ongoing business operations.

Leveraging educational project management practices, and stakeholder collaboration, this role develops scalable education solutions that support consistent learner experiences across global regions while accommodating local market requirements. The position plays a critical role in driving launch readiness, learner competency, and sustained adoption of new therapies and technologies through effective educational planning, deployment, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Work On

Education Launch Strategy & Execution

• Partner with regional and cross-functional teams to identify educational requirements for new products, therapies, and strategic initiatives, particularly New Therapy Education Specialist.
• Participate in launch planning teams to ensure educational deliverables are incorporated into launch timelines and readiness plans for OUS geographies.
• Conduct training needs evaluation and collect feedback from regional education teams to identify competency gaps, learner requirements, and adoption risks.
• Develop global education readiness plans supporting internal and external launch initiatives.
• Assist in defining and monitoring education-related launch milestones, training requirements, certification pathways, and readiness criteria.
• Assess regional educational preparedness of healthcare professionals, faculty, field teams, and internal stakeholders prior to launch.

• Coordinate global training deployment activities in support of product and therapy launches.
• Support launch execution through training coordination, stakeholder communication, and issue escalation management.
• Coordinate launch communications related to training schedules, certifications, educational resources, and deployment activities.
• Partner with regional education teams to ensure consistent execution of launch-related learning initiatives.
• Support customer, faculty, and field readiness activities before and during launch implementation.

Education Support

• Assist with coordination for employee and external training programs supporting new product introductions and therapy launches.
• Help to develop systems for global competency development and readiness progression of internal personnel.
• Support onboarding and integration of new employees into launch-related education programs.

• Support faculty development and train-the-trainer initiatives for regional education leads.
• Partner with regional teams to facilitate healthcare professional training deployment.
• Assist with educational logistics supporting workshops, simulation training, webinars, and training events.

• Coordinate deployment and maintenance of launch-related curricula, learning pathways, and educational resources, in collaboration with the New Product Education Specialists.
• Partner with content owners to manage content reviews, approvals, updates, localization activities, and version control.
• Support integration of new products and therapies into existing education programs and curricula.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer activities between global and regional education teams.
• Maintain launch playbooks, educational best practices, and program documentation.
• Capture and disseminate lessons learned and educational insights across stakeholders.

Post-Launch Adoption & Continuous Learning

• Collect feedback from learners, faculty, field teams, and regional stakeholders and Identify educational gaps and opportunities for additional training support.
• Coordinate post-launch reinforcement, refresher training, and competency development activities.
• Support transition from launch-focused education programs to ongoing education operations.
• Partner with regional teams to address evolving educational needs following launch.
• Participate in lessons learned reviews and implementation of improvement actions.

• Support selection, onboarding, and readiness of educational faculty participating in global launch activities.
• Facilitate collaboration among education leaders to align strategies, priorities, and deployment plans.
• Assist with management of educational escalations and support requests during launch activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 5 years professional experience within the Medical Device Industry or another regulated industry.
• Advanced skills in PowerPoint
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Experience working in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of interdisciplinary teams that include product managers, designers, agencies, and marketing automation teams.
• Self-starter who takes initiative, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to independently manage multiple projects towards aggressive deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting healthcare professional education programs.
• Experience with new product launch education and therapy adoption initiatives.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience with faculty development, train-the-trainer programs, or field education.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning technologies.
• Experience supporting global training deployment and regional education teams.
• Knowledge of Cardiac Rhythm Management, Electrophysiology, pacing therapies, leadless technologies, or related medical device therapies.
• Project Management certification or formal project management training preferred.

Travel Requirements:

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30-40% of the time.

The base pay for this position is

$78,000.00 – $156,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
