2026-2027 Interventional Radiology (IR) – Independent Fellowship Position Location: San Antonio, Texas Type: Fellowship Salary: $81,086.75 Subspecialties: Interventional Radiology Salary Details: Benefits Information: Required Education: Doctorate (Completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency) Job Overview The Interventional Radiology – Independent ACGME Accredited Fellowship offers a two‑year or one‑year (with ESIR training) program at UT Health San Antonio. The fellowship is designed to train board‑certified or board‑eligible Diagnostic radiologists in image‑guided procedures, peri‑ and post‑procedural patient care, and to prepare them for independent practice. Fellow Experience Includes Advanced training in imaging modalities, computed tomography, and digital subtraction angiography. State‑of‑the‑art imaging suites, including ultrasound units and CT specific to IR. Exposure to a wide spectrum of patient pathology, including arterial, venous, and portal venous disease, biliary, GI, spinal, and GU procedures. Participation in the full range of Interventional Oncology procedures such as thermal ablation, chemo‑ and radio‑embolization. Engagement in didactic lectures, subspecialty focused conferences, and journal clubs. Teaching responsibilities through resident and medical‑student lectures. Opportunities for research and publications.
