Responsibilities:• Manage a docket of misdemeanor and serious criminal matters from initial review through resolution.• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other proceedings, providing effective representation at each stage of litigation.• Prepare well-supported legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and related case filings.• Investigate facts, evaluate legal issues, and perform research that strengthens defense strategies and case preparation.• Advise clients on legal options, case developments, and potential outcomes with clear and practical guidance.• Work closely with fellow attorneys and support staff to build tailored defense approaches for each client.• Negotiate with prosecutors and other parties to pursue favorable resolutions when appropriate.Requirements- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. - Active licensure to practice law in Colorado. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. - Proven experience in negotiating and litigating criminal law matters. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously. - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Benefits:- Paid vacation and sick leave in addition to 6 paid holidays.- Stipend for continuing education and professional development.- 401K retirement plan with the Firm matching up to 3.5%.- Excellent health insurance, including dental, vision, life, and wellness plan.Job typePerm
