Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Medical Receptionist/Insurance Specialist role based in Cary, NC. The individual in this position will greet patients, manage check‑in and check‑out processes, answer and route phone calls, and handle appointment scheduling. Daily responsibilities include verifying insurance coverage, collecting and entering patient and insurance information, and supporting prior authorizations or referrals as needed. The role also involves maintaining organized medical office records, coordinating patient flow with clinical staff, and providing clear, respectful communication to patients and caregivers. The Medical Receptionist/Insurance Specialist will collaborate with the care team to support efficient office operations and a positive patient experience. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Appointment Scheduling and Receptionist Duties skills, including managing calendars and front desk operations. Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette skills to handle inbound and outbound calls with clarity and courtesy. Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document patient and insurance information. Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office environment, including familiarity with electronic health record or practice management systems.
