Production Planner

Production PlannerThe Production Planner supports production planning and scheduling activities to ensure materials, resources, and manufacturing orders are aligned with customer demand and production objectives. This role partners closely with Procurement, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain production readiness, monitor material availability, and support the timely execution of production schedules.Minimum Requirements:2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or related fieldsExperience using ERP/MRP systemsKnowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) conceptsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field & equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysisProficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesPreferred Requirements:Experience within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industriesFamiliarity with Microsoft Business CentralResponsibilities:Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacityMonitor work orders and production progress to ensure adherence to planned schedulesReview material shortages and coordinate with stakeholders to minimize production disruptionsCreate, release, and maintain manufacturing work orders within the ERP systemSupport production readiness by ensuring materials, work orders, and planning data are accurate and availableUpdate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routing information, and planning parametersTrack work order status, schedule attainment, production progress, material consumption, and output accuracyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve planning and scheduling issuesGenerate and maintain production, inventory, and planning reportsPerform other duties as assigned in support of manufacturing and program needs
