Speech-Language Pathology Supervisor

The Opportunity West Liberty University is seeking a full‑time Speech‑Language Pathology Clinical Supervisor to serve in the Speech and Hearing Clinic for a 12‑month staff position. Essential Functions Educate audiology and speech‑language pathology undergraduate and graduate student clinicians. Provide education based on current best practices for speech‑language pathology services. Guide the development of assessment and treatment plans, counseling, SOAP notes, treatment materials, and related documentation. Develop and execute evidence‑based research projects that disseminate knowledge. Provide service to the program, college, university, and the profession. Record and analyze assessment data regarding student achievement. Document and track student clinical competencies. Maintain student clinician files in compliance with FERPA. Maintain clinic patient files in compliance with HIPAA. Participate in department and clinic meetings as required. Perform other duties assigned by the Chair and/or Director of Clinical Education. Model WLU’s mission through dedicated performance, service excellence, and respectful collaboration. Create an educational environment that supports the department’s mission. Education and Experience Requirements Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology and/or Communication Sciences and Disorders is required. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association is required. Current WV license in speech‑language pathology that is in good standing with the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Speech‑Language and Audiology is required. Skills and Abilities Familiarity with CAA accreditation standards. Enthusiasm for scholarship and professional development in clinical education. Knowledge and skills in evidence‑based models of care, inter‑professional education, critical thinking, and clinical teaching models. Interest in clinical advising and mentoring of students. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with technology.
