U.S. Engineering Service is growing our mechanical service team in Kansas City, and we're looking for skilled, hardworking pipefitters and journeymen ready to build a long-term career with a company that invests in its people. Our work supports a wide range of facilities, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, critical infrastructure, and high-security sites. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in facilities maintenance and operations, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, mechanical service, TAB support, building controls, and the technical requirements associated with maintaining reliable operations in complex environments.

What we are looking for:
• Experienced pipefitters and journeymen with strong field skills and a solid work history.
• Experience supporting mechanical service, facilities maintenance, and operations in commercial, industrial, critical infrastructure, or high-security environments.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, hydronic systems, piping systems, TAB, building controls, pumps, compressors, and related mechanical equipment.
• Candidates who have never previously been a member of a union.
• Willing to join our local union as a condition of employment.
• Willing and able to relocate to the Kansas City, MO area.

Duties and Accountabilities:
• Read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and mechanical schematics to guide installation, service, and maintenance work.
• Select, assemble, install, service, and maintain piping systems and related materials per specifications.
• Cut and connect pipe using hand tools, power tools, and methods such as welding, soldering, brazing, and threading.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves, controls, and related mechanical systems.
• Support HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, hydronic, and mechanical system maintenance in operational facilities.
• Assist with testing, adjusting, and balancing activities, controls coordination, system verification, and functional performance checks as needed.
• Test piping systems for leaks by pressurizing lines and monitoring gauges.
• Perform work in sensitive, mission-critical, and high-security environments while following site-specific safety, security, and operational requirements.
• Support preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to help maintain reliable facility operations.
