About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP of Development to play a pivotal role in the organization's national fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing a 3-to-5-year development plan, with a focus on securing approximately $10M in annual revenue. This role demands a strategic and highly collaborative leader with a proven track record in fundraising, including the ability to solicit and close 6- and 7-figure gifts. The VP of Development will also be tasked with managing a high-performing team, providing oversight to regional development teams, and maintaining a personal donor portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of work experience, including at least five years in senior external leadership/fundraising roles, and a strong commitment to the mission of the organization. Candidates for the VP of Development position at the company should possess exceptional leadership skills, the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders, and a deep commitment to race, equity, diversity, and inclusion. The role requires a leader with high emotional intelligence, capable of driving innovation, change, and growth, and who can effectively manage the CEO's fundraising activities. Experience in building new teams or systems and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience are also required.
