Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for an adult to geriatric population in a cardiac stepdown setting, including patients with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
• Perform telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, and Doppler assessments as part of routine patient care
• Conduct and document vital sign checks and blood glucose checks independently
• Manage patients requiring peritoneal dialysis within scope of practice
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic; utilize Pyxis for medication management and SBAR for clinical communication
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as operationally needed; fulfill expected weekend and holiday shift commitments per unit scheduling guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a valid Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers are accepted
• Charge nurse experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency in Epic is required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or on-site, including during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown or telemetry unit
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication frameworks
• Experience managing patients with peritoneal dialysis needs
