The Security Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors throughout the hotel. This is a highly visible, non-stationary position that requires continuous patrols, proactive engagement, and the ability to respond effectively to a wide range of situations. What You’ll Do Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests, colleagues, and assets Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, guest concerns, and requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property and proactively identify potential safety and security concerns. Investigate and document incidents, accidents, injuries, and security‑related activity through detailed and accurate report writing. Utilize effective de‑escalation techniques to resolve conflicts and manage challenging situations. Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment during conventions, special events, and periods of high occupancy. Experience conducting foot patrols and maintaining a visible security presence throughout a large property. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess situations, make sound decisions, and take appropriate action. Experience using de‑escalation techniques to resolve conflict and mitigate potentially disruptive situations Comfortable providing assistance and direction to both guests and non‑guests in a courteous and service‑oriented manner.
