Staff Accountant

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to support general accounting, the monthly close, accounts payable, and financial reporting. This role offers broad exposure across the accounting function and the opportunity to develop within a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities General Accounting and Monthly Close Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and research discrepancies Record recurring journal entries and other general ledger activity Assist with monthly close schedules and supporting workpapers Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper timing Perform account analysis and support general ledger maintenance Collaborate with the accounting team to deliver accurate financial reporting Prepare documentation and respond to requests during the annual audit Accounts Payable and Expense Management Process vendor invoices and coordinate payments Maintain vendor records, including W 9 forms and tax documentation Manage sales tax records and prepare exemption certificates Reconcile accounts payable activity to the general ledgerResolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor payment inquiries Support employee expense reimbursements and corporate card reconciliations Assist with the preparation and filing of annual 1099 forms Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes Additional Responsibilities Assist with accounting and finance projects as needed Work across departments to resolve accounting questions Support improvements to internal processes, controls, and reporting #J-18808-Ljbffr
