Professional Caregiver (Private Duty Home Care) Greater Birmingham Metro Area, AL Serving Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Pelham, Alabaster, Hueytown, Gardendale, Fultondale, Trussville, Irondale, Center Point & surrounding communities Compensation: $14.00–$15.00+/hour based on reliability and shift type Schedule Options: Consistent part-time and full-time cases available (1–12 hour shifts) Preferred Availability: open or weekend shift preferred. About This Opportunity We are a professional, relationship-driven home care provider serving families throughout the Birmingham Metro area. We deliver personalized, one-on-one, non-medical care that allows clients to remain safely and confidently in their homes. Our caregivers are carefully selected professionals who understand that this is more than a job — it is a responsibility. What You’ll Do Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility support). Meaningful companionship and engagement. Meal preparation and nutritional support. Light housekeeping directly related to client care. Transportation to appointments or errands (as needed). Accurate documentation and proactive communication with the care team. Observing and reporting changes in condition. This is non-medical private duty care. No skilled nursing or clinical procedures are required unless separately licensed and authorized. The Type Of Professional We’re Looking For Show up on time — every time. What We Are NOT We are not a hospital or nursing facility — this is one-on-one in-home care. We are not a gig-based app — consistency and accountability are required. We are not a “sit and supervise” role — engagement and attentiveness matter. We are not a medical staffing agency — this position focuses on personal care and companionship. We are not seeking short-term availability only. Qualifications 18+ with high school diploma/GED or relevant experience. Prior caregiver, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, or senior care experience preferred. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Birmingham Metro. Valid Driver's License and Insurance are a must. Smartphone proficiency for scheduling and care notes. Ability to assist with mobility and remain active during shifts. Clear background screening. Dementia or memory care experience is strongly valued.
