Position details as follows:Position: SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYSTJob Summary: The Finance Analyst role identifies solutions and influences business decisions based on sound financial analysis and communication. This position will serve in a full-time role as part of the accounting team working closely with sales, operations and management.Essential Functions:Acts as a financial advisor to the Logistics/Operations business team and Accounting/Finance.Owns the development and communication of the budget and forecastProvides timely analysis of financial performance with appropriate bridges showing key drivers for deviations from target (volume, price, country mix, etc.)Analyzes monthly spend, providing variances explanation to forecastAnalyzes carrier billings to contractual agreements, 3PLProactive in driving actions to maximize business opportunities or mitigate issuesSupports the Strategic Plan processSupports the monthly forecasting process as well as the month end closing processPerforms ad-hoc financial analysis as needed (i.e. network optimization, lane comparisons and total landed cost)Improves financial processes and information deliverablesDevelops the initial draft of standard business planDrafts initial analysis of planning & forecasting, capital planning, target setting, and business performance as determined by senior leadership or the Business Unit and Service Delivery teamsIdentifies and implements updates to standard planning, budget, and forecast utilizing Excel and additional model templatesPerforms initial analytical assignments and prepares standard planning & forecasting deliverables under guidance of senior team membersCommunicates with stakeholders in a clear and concise mannerRequired Educational and Experience Requirements:2-3 years of experience as a Financial AnalystMinimum: Bachelor's Degree or professional certification and 5+ years of progressive finance experience; Master's Degree preferredTransportation Logistics background in this role is preferredRequired Competencies and Skill Sets:Ability to view and understand freight process (carrier through billing and recording processes)Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated analytical and organizational skillsAbility to deliver presentations to senior level audiencesHighly motivated and driven professional, able to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneouslyStrong work ethic.
