Overview

Position: Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: Med Surg

Available Shifts: Days and Nights

Compensation: Up to $1,451 – $1,982 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $40.32 – $55.06 per hour.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in managing daily departmental operations, staffing, and workflow.
• Supervise, guide, and assess team members.
• Ensure optimal utilization of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintain high standards of departmental operations and patient care.
• Provide direct patient care as required within your scope of practice.
• Monitor patient care plans and implement necessary modifications.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to enhance patient outcomes.
• Foster a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during your assigned shift.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Valid and current state RN License
2. Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and must remain current.
3. Current ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and must remain current.
4. Minimum of one year of charge nurse experience in a Med Surg environment is required.
5. PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and must remain current.
