Field Auto Appraiser

Job Overview National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation. We offer home, auto, accident, and health insurance through a large network of independent insurance agents and direct-to-consumer channels. This role is an Auto Field Damage Appraiser, supporting the Raleigh, NC territory. The position is remote and field-based, managing auto claims both virtually and on-site. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates sound estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses. Demonstrates basic understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company. Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within authority limits. Applies sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices. Builds functional relationships with both internal and external customers. Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties. As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
