Field Auto Appraiser - North Carolina

Job Overview National General is seeking an Auto Field Damage Appraiser to join our Claims team for the Lenoir, NC territory. This remote, field‑based role manages auto claims both virtually and on‑site, requiring residents in Lenoir, Beasley, Kinston, Greenville, Goldsboro, or Wilson, NC. The candidate will handle a variety of auto claims, conduct vehicle inspections, and use CCC ONE estimating software to produce accurate damage estimates. Key Responsibilities Apply thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices. Build relationships with internal and external customers. Use estimating fundamentals to create damage estimates for 1st and 3rd party material damage losses. Process a deep understanding of all policy types written by the company. Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities within escalated authority limits. Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties. As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team. Total compensation may include additional components, such as incentive pay (e.g., commission or bonus), if applicable.
