Department Manager - Shipping/Fulfillment

Job Title: Department Manager - Shipping/Fulfillment Reports To: Director of Production Job Summary: The Shipping and Fulfillment Department Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing daily shipping and fulfillment operations to support production goals. In this role, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to hourly team members, ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders and effective shipment of finished products. In this position, it is essential for you to consistently uphold and embody the principles, policies, and standards of quality and excellence set forth by New Wire Marine. Essential Functions Daily Responsibilities Print e-commerce orders each morning and afternoon Participate in the morning production huddle and assess the panel packing requirements for the day, including building and providing crates and custom boxes for orders Purchase and print shipping labels for all orders Generate quotes for international shipping orders across all departments and ensure prompt issuance of invoices for international shipping transactions Continuously monitor inventory levels and replenish items such as actuators, switches, and packaging materials as needed. Collaborate with the Warehouse and Procurement Manager to coordinate the restocking of custom part orders essential for fulfilling customer requirements Monitor Help Scout diligently and promptly address any inquiries or questions related to shipping or fulfillment, including quotes, shipping invoicing, customer order issues, or changes Ensure all e-commerce orders and panels are packed, shipped, and fulfilled accurately and according to the specified lead times Audit Production Flow to ensure the accuracy of orders in QA/Shipping and transfer completed orders to Production Flow - Archive Create and track estimated pick/pack times Weekly Responsibilities Generate a report comparing the estimated and actual fulfillment and panel packing times for the previous week. Share the findings with the team and provide recommendations based on the results Conduct an analysis/audit of the fulfillment errors reported by customer service during the previous week and communicate the findings to the team. If the percentage of mistakes in relation to the total number of orders filled exceeds 1%, thoroughly examine and implement changes within the department to reduce fulfillment errors Audit the WooCommerce orders page for New Wire Marine and Rocker Switch Pros to identify any instances where e-commerce orders were not fulfilled or have hold issues Audit ShippingEasy orders page and remove any extra/erroneously created labels Check stock levels of shipping supplies and submit orders if needed Schedule weekly USPS pickups Monthly Responsibilities Generate shipping margin report for previous month. Analyze information and make shipping cost correction recommendations if needed Analyze Shipping and Fulfillment departments and recommend efficiency improvements Update fulfillment and shipping guides with latest information #J-18808-Ljbffr
