Team Red Dog is hiring a User Experience Researcher for our client, a global productivity and collaboration leader. In this fully remote role, you will plan and execute rapid UX research programs, including usability testing, early concept testing, participant recruitment, and qualitative and quantitative research, then translate findings into clear, actionable insights for product, design, and engineering teams. Your research will help shape product experiences early in the development process, providing critical signals that influence products used by millions of people. This is a high-impact opportunity for a researcher who can independently drive studies from intake through execution and communicate findings in a way that directly influences product direction.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

1. Usability Testing – 4+ years of experience conducting usability and experience testing, including early concept and design-phase research to identify opportunities for product and experience improvements.
2. Participant Screening & Recruiting – 4+ years of experience developing recruitment screeners and recruiting appropriate research participants for UX studies and customer learning programs.
3. Research Insights & Reporting – 5+ years of experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative research data and translating findings into clear, actionable insights, recommendations, and research reports for product stakeholders.
4. UX Research Methods & Collaboration – Experience applying mixed-methods research, developing research plans and discussion guides, and partnering effectively with product management, design, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.

Opportunity Overview:

This is a high-impact UX Research opportunity supporting product teams as they make decisions that shape experiences for millions of users. You will own rapid research engagements from intake through execution and delivery of insights, using usability testing, concept testing, customer research, and mixed-methods approaches to identify customer needs, understand user journeys, and inform product strategy and experience design. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with product, design, and engineering partners while bringing the customer voice into decisions early enough to meaningfully influence the product experience.

How you will make an impact:

• Create and drive research plans and roadmaps for studies and programs supporting a defined product, feature area, product line, or service.
• Independently facilitate rapid research programs from intake of research requests through research execution, synthesis, reporting, and recommendations.
• Apply qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, early concept testing, customer interviews, surveys, and other appropriate research methodologies.
• Conduct research to identify customer needs, behaviors, context, and journeys and translate findings into actionable product and UX insights.
• Recruit research participants and develop effective screening criteria and recruitment materials for research programs.
• Develop and review research instruments, including surveys, interview scripts, discussion guides, and other study materials.
• Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, conclusions, customer needs, and opportunities for product improvement.
• Communicate research findings through compelling presentations, research reports, user stories, and other formats that influence product direction.
• Partner with product management, design, engineering, and other disciplines to integrate research insights into product strategy and detailed experience design.
• Use customer feedback sources such as product surveys, crash reports, social media, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and System Usability Scale (SUS) to augment research findings.
• Create tools, templates, question libraries, and other resources that help product teams develop testable hypotheses and conduct effective customer research.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary research teams and help educate partners on research rigor, methodology, and the value of customer-centered decision-making.
• Apply privacy, security, accessibility, and diversity and inclusion principles throughout research planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
• Perform appropriate PII risk checks and data minimization practices and ensure research materials and results follow applicable privacy and security requirements.
• Identify industry and vertical trends that may reduce uncertainty and inform future product initiatives.
• Assess the user journey from awareness through adoption and retention and develop insights that support improved customer value and product growth.
• Contribute to continuous, iterative research that helps product teams identify customer problems and determine the right solutions rather than simply validating predetermined solutions.

The expertise you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or a related field with 2+ years of User Experience Research experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with 1+ year of User Experience Research experience, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience conducting usability testing and user experience research.
• 4+ years of experience screening and recruiting participants for UX research programs.
• 5+ years of experience writing and reporting research insights.
• Experience applying qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform product direction and detailed experience design.
• Experience creating research plans, selecting appropriate methodologies, developing study materials, conducting research, and synthesizing findings.
• Experience with early concept testing and usability testing during the design and product development process.
• 1+ year of relevant experience within the technology sector.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, data analysis, and insight-translation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research findings clearly to varied audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product management, design, engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience managing research scope, timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
• Understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, user experience, and user interface principles.
• Ability to work with customer feedback and mixed data sources to develop meaningful user journey and customer insights.
• Ability to apply privacy, security, accessibility, and diversity and inclusion considerations to UX research.
• Master's degree or higher and additional UX Research experience are preferred.

Rate: $9,750–$10,500 per month
