Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team , working closely with physicians and office management. This role involves daily patient interaction and providing essential clinical support within a busy healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid background in patient care procedures including vital signs measurement, specimen collection, and injection administration.

Responsibilities

Conduct patient intake and record vital signs
Provide clinical support during patient examinations and procedures
Administer injections and perform phlebotomy
Collect specimens for laboratory analysis
Manage prior authorizations to facilitate patient care
Accurately document patient information using EHR software
Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience in medical assisting

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in Medical Assisting or related field
Experience managing prior authorizations

This position would also require travel to our Delray Beach location a few days per week.
