Finance Risk Analyst (2nd Shift) - FICC Risk @Chicago, IL

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Risk Analyst (2nd Shift) to join their dynamic team. As a Finance Risk Analyst (2nd Shift), you will be an integral part of the Risk Management Department supporting critical trading operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Finance Risk Analyst (2nd Shift) - FICC Risk

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)

Position type: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

What's the Job?

• Serve as the first point of contact for business requests and assess reported impacts.
• Monitor and alert on critical trading system environments to ensure operational stability.
• Implement releases and conduct post-release testing to maintain system integrity.
• Build and nurture strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application developers, and infrastructure teams.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and proactively identify problem hotspots for resolution.

What's Needed?

• Experience working in high-pressure trading environments with the ability to assimilate information quickly.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an intuitive approach to developing solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate restoration efforts effectively.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Solaris, Linux, and Windows.
• Knowledge of scripting languages including Unix Shell, Perl, Python, and SQL at an intermediate level.
