Salary Range: $120,000.00 a year with quarterly bonus opportunity.

By adhering to Connecticut State Law, pay ranges are posted. The pay rate will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge of position and comparison to others who are already in this role within the company.

An Internal Medical Group has an opportunity for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or a Physician Assistant (PA) to work in Physical Medicine and Rehab (PM&R) facilities in the New Haven County area. This is an excellent opportunity for those that enjoy a flexible work schedule, working autonomously, and accelerate in a pay for performance environment.

The APP will be a specialist who will examine the patient holistically to identify what may be inhibiting a patient from reaching their maximal potential.

The APP will work collaboratively with the PM&R Physician to...

1. Treat the whole person, not just the problem area and focus their treatment on function.

2. Have a broad medical expertise that allows them to treat disabling conditions such as spasticity, fatigue, weakness, gait abnormalities, contractures and pain

3. Determine and lead a treatment/prevention plan

4. Collaborate with a team of medical professionals, which may include physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physician extenders to optimize patient care

5. Work with other physicians, which may include primary care physicians, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, and many others

Essential Function:

Education and Experience:

APRN:

• The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is masters or doctorate prepared
• Certified Nationally as a Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC.
• The Nurse Practitioner must have possession of a valid (Connecticut) license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, and be certified as a Nurse Practitioner by an approved certifying body.
• DEA, and Ct controlled substance license
• Experience working with elderly patient population
• Experience working with EHR

PA:

• Physician Assistant Certification
• State License
• Any years of experience
• Experience working with EHR
