Billing Manager

Manages employees and activities of the Billing function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages the planning and direction of Billing activities, including the maintenance of the ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Prepares and maintains account records and billing data, and organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
• Oversees the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.
• Monitors Billing work processes, procedures and expenses, and establishes programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.
• Provides guidance and leadership to staff accountants.
• Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 additional years of relevant experience.
• 7 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirements).

Physical Requirements:

Office: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
