Technical Supervisor - GEN LAB - 2nd Shift

Position Summary This position provides general operational supervision under the direction of the director/manager to assigned personnel. Responsible for organizing, directing and controlling workflow aspects of the section to improve processes and provide high quality, cost‑effective services. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly reports to a manager and provides supervision to 10–40 technical staff. Responsibilities include hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, initiating promotions and transfers, managing performance, ensuring department expenditures align with the annual budget, overseeing work schedules, and directing daily activities of department staff. Physical Demands / Environment Factors Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently; may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and body fluids, have adequate color vision and visual acuity, use computer, phone, and office equipment, communicate effectively, and may require off‑site travel. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology. Four (4) years of training and experience in high‑complexity testing in the respective specialty. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
