About The Opportunity The Senior Manager of Communications is responsible for shaping and elevating Pursuit Aerospace’s narrative across internal and external audiences. This leader will develop a cohesive storytelling strategy that highlights Pursuit Aerospace’s mission, values, technological innovation, and growth trajectory. They will serve as a key guardian of the company’s voice, ensuring unified and impactful messaging across all communication channels. Location Remote, Travel is expected to be about 25% if remote, will be less if located in Connecticut. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that clearly articulates Pursuit Aerospace’s story, culture, and long-term vision. Craft engaging narratives for executive communications, marketing materials, press releases, digital content, social media, and customer-facing messaging. Partner closely with executive leadership to position the company’s brand, milestones, and transformation initiatives. Lead proactive storytelling efforts, identifying opportunities to highlight innovation, operations excellence, employee achievements, and strategic partnerships. Manage internal communications programs that strengthen employee engagement, alignment, and cultural cohesion. Oversee media relations strategy, including drafting press materials, coordinating interviews, and cultivating relationships with key industry outlets. Ensure consistent voice and message discipline across all internal and external channels. Partner with HR, Marketing, and Operations to support change management communications and narrative frameworks. Track communication performance metrics and continuously optimize content strategy. Manage communication tools, platforms, and resources to modernize and enhance reach and effectiveness. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or relevant field; 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, preferably in aerospace, manufacturing, or technology-driven environments. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis. Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives. Experience supporting executive-level communication programs. Strong understanding of brand voice development and message architecture. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional communication initiatives. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content. Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Strategic mindset with an ability to see both the big picture and detail-level execution. High emotional intelligence and strong partnership-building skills. Creative thinker with the ability to bring abstract concepts to life through narrative. Confident communicator with polished presentation skills. Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines and multiple priorities. Working Conditions Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
