We are looking for a Service Coordinator to support collection activities and maintain strong communication with customers and internal teams in Akron, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage consumer and commercial accounts with professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail. The person in this role will help drive timely payment resolution, keep account records accurate, and contribute to effective credit and billing follow-up.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of commercial and consumer accounts to encourage timely payment and reduce outstanding balances.
• Contact customers by phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve past-due invoices and negotiate appropriate payment arrangements.
• Review account histories, billing records, and payment activity to identify discrepancies and determine next steps for collection efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection actions, customer commitments, and account status updates in internal systems.
• Work closely with billing, customer service, and credit teams to address disputes, clarify charges, and support account resolution.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize follow-up activities based on risk, balance size, and payment trends.
• Escalate complex or high-risk accounts when needed and support any related process updates or system changes as part of ongoing collection operations.• Experience handling collections for both commercial and consumer accounts.
• Working knowledge of credit and collections practices, including account follow-up and payment resolution.
• Ability to interpret billing details, account records, and aging reports with accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer outreach and internal coordination.
• Comfortable negotiating payment arrangements while maintaining a customer-focused experience.
• Proficiency with collection processes, documentation, and account tracking tools.
