Accounting Office Clerk

Key Responsibilities and Duties


  • Vehicle Transactions: Bill new and used vehicle deals, stock in new inventory, and process dealer trades.

  • Financial Records: Post daily cash receipts, and daily deposits.

  • Administrative Support: Maintain office files and assist the controller or office manager with month-end closing. Will distribute mail, answer phones and occasionally act the runner to the bank and post office.

Required Skills and Qualifications


  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with postsecondary accounting coursework often preferred.

  • Experience: Previous experience in accounting, ideally within an automotive environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, 10-key typing, and dealership software such as CDK or Reynolds & Reynolds. ( Preferred not required)

  • Attributes: High level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with sales and management teams.
