Cardiac Ultrasonographer Days

Responsibilities Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: two‑dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m‑mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients. Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound. May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students. Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent. Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent. Minimal criteria gained at the student level. Required CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association (upon hire) OR CRT‑Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC American Red Cross (upon hire). CRT‑Sonographer (S) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. (Exclude Cardiac) 1‑year required. CRT‑Breast Sonographer (BS) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. (Excludes Cardiac, General, Vascular) 1‑year required. CRT‑Abdomen (AB) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. (Excludes Cardiac, Vascular) 1‑year required. CRT‑Ob/Gyn (OB) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. (Excludes Cardiac, Vascular) 1‑year required. CRT‑Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Cardiac 1‑year required. CRT‑Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) – UNKNOWN. Cardiac 1‑year required. CRT‑Vascular Technologist (VT) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Within 1 year of hire required for Vascular Department. Location & Schedule Royal Oak Hospital – 3601 W 13 Mile Rd – Royal Oak. Employment Type: Full time. Shift: Day. Weekly scheduled hours: 40. Hours of Work: 6:30a.m.to5:00p.m. Days worked: Variable.
