The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department by administering employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, benefits, and employee engagement initiatives. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee Relations

• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace concerns.
• Assist with investigations involving employee relations issues and policy violations.
• Support managers in addressing performance concerns and corrective actions.
• Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer administration.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
• Ensure all pre-employment requirements are completed in a timely manner.

Compliance & Policy Administration

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with policy updates and employee handbook administration.
• Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed.

Performance Management

• Assist managers with performance review processes.
• Monitor performance evaluation timelines and completion rates.
• Support employee development and succession planning initiatives.

Benefits & Leave Administration

• Assist employees with benefit enrollment and questions.
• Coordinate leave of absence requests, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation claims.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to benefits and leave administration.

Training & Employee Development

• Coordinate training programs and compliance training requirements.
• Track employee training records and certifications.
• Support leadership development and employee engagement initiatives.

HR Metrics & Reporting

• Prepare HR reports and maintain workforce data.
• Track turnover, hiring, training, and employee engagement metrics.
• Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

• 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Experience supporting recruitment, employee relations, and compliance activities.
• Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, GMP, FDA-regulated, or warehouse environments preferred.

• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Occasional travel between facilities or off-site events may be required.
• Ability to participate in plant, warehouse, or production floor activities as needed.
