Job Summary

Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) seeks an Assistant Professor of Pathology to teach medical students, physician assistant students, and students in associated biomedical programs.

1. Candidates must have a strong interest in medical education and, as faculty, will focus on implementation and delivery of highly integrated, organ-systems-based curricula
2. This position is focused on Pathology education and student mentoring and academic support.
3. Scholarly activity in medical education and/or basic science or clinical research is encouraged.
4. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
5. Candidate must be willing to teach in person on campus
6. Part-time work is possible

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Candidates must hold a MD or PhD degree or their equivalent in clinical pathology, be board- eligible/board certified, and possess excellent communication skills.
2. Evidence of teaching excellence and commitment to professional development and leadership in education is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Assistant/Associate Professor faculty rank.
2. Faculty with active research programs are encouraged to apply, although currently funded research activity is not a prerequisite.
