Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, supporting a safe and comfortable birthing experience. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer appropriate medications and monitor patient responses during labor and delivery.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
• Educate patients and families about childbirth processes, postpartum care, and neonatal care.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and contractions to assess labor progress and detect any complications.
• Document clinical observations, interventions, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and manage weekend rotations.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including alternate weekend shifts.
• Pending licenses or certifications accepted with prior approval.
