Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid - 2 days remote 3 days in office)

Temporary-to-Hire Opportunity

What You'll Do

• Process and enter high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Verify invoices and supporting documentation before processing payments
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, including pricing and quantity issues
• Monitor invoice status and follow up on outstanding items
• Create credit and debit memos as needed
• Assist with vendor account maintenance and payment inquiries
• Maintain organized records and supporting documentation
• Support month-end close activities and audit requests
• Update and maintain spreadsheets and accounting records
• Collaborate with accounting team members to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous Accounts Payable, invoice processing, or high-volume data entry experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills
• Comfortable working with repetitive, process-driven tasks
• Strong keyboarding and data-entry skills
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience using an ERP system is preferred but not required
• General understanding of accounting principles
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Background

• Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
• Experience with invoice matching, purchase orders, and payment processing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
