PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (ORTHOPEDICS)

Job Duties

Assist Orthopedic Surgeons in the operating room with both major and minor surgical procedures.

Perform appropriate radiologic, laboratory, or diagnostic procedures on patients.

Obtain health and medical history from patients within a medical clinic.

Provide treatment plans for complex pathophysiology and chronic illnesses.

Perform complex specialty procedures such as digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor outpatient surgical procedures.

Prescribe medication in accordance with approved treatment protocols.

Educate internal staff and patients about medication and treatment regimens.
