Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on an enriching contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in dynamic school environments. This full-time position provides meaningful work throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. Based onsite at both a middle school and a high school, you’ll collaborate with educators and staff dedicated to student success.

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas Special Education teaching license
• Experience working in special education settings, preferably with middle and/or high school students
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities
• Capacity for adapting instruction to varied learning needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with diverse learning challenges
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with legal and district requirements
• Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support
• Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to data-driven educational planning
• Encourage self-advocacy and independence in students while maintaining a positive, structured classroom
