Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Prior experience working with students in special education settings
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse student needs
• Familiarity with IEP development and compliance
• Passion for fostering a nurturing, inclusive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
• Provide direct instruction using evidence-based strategies tailored to each learner
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to create effective learning experiences
• Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in regular IEP meetings
• Engage families to share strategies, progress, and resources
• Cultivate a classroom climate that encourages acceptance, empowerment, and achievement
• Remain current on best practices and state/federal guidelines in special education
