Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

You’ll work onsite, collaborating closely with school teams, families, educators, and staff, and directly shaping positive outcomes for students who need it most.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Your background will include implementing data-driven behavioral supports, providing coaching and training for school staff, and using research-based best practices to drive student success. Experience with behavioral crises and the flexibility to work itinerantly between districts will set you up to thrive in this diverse, rewarding environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required)
• Current Kansas State Teaching License with endorsement
• Preferred: Additional licensure in school psychology, social work, or school counseling
• Demonstrated experience in K-12 behavioral support roles, ideally as a school-based Behavior Specialist, BCBA, or similar role
• Proficiency in FBA and BIP processes
• Success working with students exhibiting behavioral and social-emotional needs
• Strong collaborator with school teams, staff, and families
• Capable of supporting crisis intervention and utilizing research-informed interventions

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive FBAs and prepare individualized BIPs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
• Offer ongoing behavior coaching, support, and training to educators
• Lead and assist with crisis intervention procedures
• Monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and report outcomes using data-driven insights
• Travel between assigned districts as an itinerant professional
