Construction AR Specialist Full Time Professional – Houston, TX, US Requisition ID: 1322 – 5 days ago NextGen Security, LLC Company: NextGen Security, LLC Location: Houston, TX Industries: Security and Surveillance Job Type: Full Time Employee Career Level: Entry Level to Experienced (Non-Manager) Exemption: Exempt About the Job What we're looking for An energetic and enthusiastic Construction Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our fast‑growing and dynamic team. What you'll be doing The responsibilities of this position will vary but primarily focus on the coordination of Accounts Receivable activities for construction projects. The candidate will interact frequently with internal Operations and Sales employees, and externally with customers. Standard work hours are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday‑Friday in our Houston office. Remote work flexibility may be available on an as‑needed basis. Specific duties to include: Prepare and issue monthly AIA pay applications to customers, ensuring accuracy and submission by required deadlines. Monitor aging reports to ensure payments are up to date and accurate. Follow up with customers as needed to facilitate collection of payment or application of received payments. Process lien waiver requests and send lien notices in a timely manner. Organize and maintain accurate records and documentation. Generate accurate and timely invoices as needed. Work cross‑functionally to resolve invoice‑related obstacles, including collections efforts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 1‑2 years of construction AR experience. Accounting or Customer Service experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Experience with Procore or Levelset preferred but not required. Additional Skills Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in both written and verbal manner to customers and company personnel. Must possess a positive attitude and be willing to interact with customers, co‑workers, and personnel at all times. Commitment to integrity and company standards and procedures.
