As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and provide clear, professional communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.63 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical and petrochemical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card or license is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
