OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at

Pura Vida Miami. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial

operations of the restaurant and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and

company policies. This position requires a strong understanding of general accounting

practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic

environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Maintain accurate financial records by reconciling daily sales and restaurant revenue.

● Assist with processing and posting accounts payable and accounts receivable

transactions.

● Ensure all payroll information is accurately entered and processed.

● Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

● Prepare and analyze financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance

sheets, and budget variances.

● Manage inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) tracking, ensuring accurate

reporting.

● Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing insights into financial performance

and trends.

● Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management.

● Support the accounting team in preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with

tax regulations.

● Maintain organized records and files in accordance with company policies and

accounting standards.

● Collaborate with management to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for

financial improvement.

● Assist in preparing tax filings and related documentation as required.

● Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller.

REQUIREMENTS:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

● Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant or

hospitality industry.

● Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

● Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage complex

spreadsheets.

● Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

● A proactive and problem-solving attitude.

● Reliable transportation to work in office Monday to Friday in Miami Beach, Florida
