General Laborer

We are seeking dedicated general laborers to join our team in a concrete precast facility. You will be responsible for utilizing hand and power tools, reading tape measures, cutting and tying rebar, and forming concrete structures. Additional tasks include pouring concrete, greasing forms, painting, and ensuring cleanliness in the production area. This role requires comfort with outdoor work and the ability to handle getting dirty.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure.
• Cut and tie rebar for concrete structures.
• Form and pour concrete structures.
• Grease forms and paint as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the precast production area.
• Work outdoors and handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction, landscaping, or similar outdoor labor positions.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to accurately read tape measures.
• 1+ year of experience working outdoors.
• 1+ year of experience with hand and power tools in a job setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in concrete or precast environments.
• Experience in landscaping, construction, or any outdoor work that required the use of hand and power tools.

Work Environment

This role requires flexibility with hours, typically Monday to Friday from 6am to 6:30pm, with potential variations. While weekend work is not the norm, it may be necessary and will be mandatory if scheduled. The work environment is an open bay/outdoor setting with a hanger-style covering and fans throughout, requiring comfort with working in various weather conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
