Job Title Hudson Public Schools Position: Volleyball Junior Varsity Head Coach Reports to: Director of Athletics Approved by: Brian K. Summary A coach’s primary responsibility is to improve the performance of athletes by motivating, instructing, and managing the sport’s team. Further details will be provided during the interview. Season Start Date August 24, 2026 Essential Duties and Responsibilities The candidate should have complete knowledge of the sport and the ability to teach and motivate student‑athletes to be successful academically and athletically. Coaching experience at the high school level preferred. CPR/First Aid certification required. Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check (CORI) and fingerprints prior to start date. Pay Coaches are paid a one‑time stipend following the completion of the season. Physical Requirements While performing duties, the employee will often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods. The employee may also have ample periods of standing and may be required to traverse the building. Hands must frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. Physical abilities may include lifting/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, and visual acuity. Ability to lift 15‑20 lbs for short periods and walk up and down stairs several times a day is required. The employee must communicate effectively with students, staff, and the public in person and on the phone.
