Harlem Hospital is a designated Level 2 Trauma Center and is recognized for providing centers of excellence in the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Opportunity Details: Consult with patients with hematological disorders. Conduct wide-ranging research toward the prevention and the treatment of blood disorders such asanemia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia, and hemophilia. Educatemedical residents, students, other physicians, and various medical professionals. Provide consultation in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Assist in developing a robust sickle cell program and assist in the transition of sickle cell patients from pediatrics to adult medicine. Qualifications Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology. Active medical license in the state of New York. Wages and Benefits include: Annual Base Salary: $342,000* (board eligible) and $347,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $471,720**(board eligible) and $477,220 **(board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below: Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520. Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous years average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement. Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
