• The Senior Appian Developer will design and develop the core Appian platform project from end to end.
• Work closely with Product Owner and IT FPM to fully understand the functional and technical requirements in case management.
• Actively participate and provide inputs in major design decisions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), system owners, customers, and end-users to understand their mission, current architecture, security requirements, and deliverables.
• Focus on project release goals and work with the team to build a design that will scale to meet evolving needs.
• Design and develop the system to set the standard for future development, crafting an architecture that smoothly works with existing infrastructure without compromising security.
• Identify and introduce new opportunities to build platform-based solutions to help users meet their toughest challenges.
• Transform stakeholder requirements into a detailed system design and implementation.
• Provide the full range of O&M system support services including:
  • Issue identification, tracking, analysis, and resolution
  • Code generation and testing
  • Commercially available off-the-shelf (COTS) customization and configuration
  • Documentation and change incorporation
  • Maintenance of tools, custom code, specialized configurations, customizations, and process automation such as scripts, templates, and workflows
  • Performance tuning and monitoring
  • System administration and user account administration
• Perform O&M activities in accordance with DOL Agile processes for system development lifecycle activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 2 to 4 years leading Appian software development teams
• Previous experience with database and system integration
• 5 to 8 years working on software development engagements (Appian preferred)
• Experience in an Agile environment; certification is a plus
