Staff accountant

Amazing career opportunity with a well-established organization in Jacksonville. We are looking for experience with account reconciliations and bank reconciliations as well as a yearning to continue to learn and grow professionally. Additional experience in Non-Profit, fund accounting, & fixed assets is a plus. This is an onsite, office based role with WFH opportunity 2 days per month along with a robust PTO & benefits offering. salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Prepare & post journal entries, prepaids and accruals.
• Account reconciliation, variance analysis, research discrepencies.
• Assists with the coordination and preparation of the budget process cycle.
• Prepare balance sheets, statements of activities, cash flow statements, and other reports.
• Fixed assets & depreciation schedules.
• Assist with annual audits.
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Misc. other accounting related duties & tasks as needed.

• Account Reconciliation (2 years of experience is required)

• Depreciation (2 years of experience is preferred)
• Accruals (2 years of experience is required)
