Sales Manager

Magnolia Hospitality Services is seeking an experiencedHotel Sales Managerfor a full-service Hilton-branded hotel in Houston, Texas.Previous hotel sales experience and direct experience in a hotel sales role are required for this position. This role is responsible for proactively driving revenue through corporate, group, meeting, and event business while developing strong relationships with new and existing accounts. The ideal candidate is a results-driven hospitality sales professional who understands the full hotel sales cycle and is comfortable prospecting, negotiating, closing business, and partnering with hotel operations to ensure successful execution. Responsibilities Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new corporate, group, meeting, and event business. Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying opportunities for additional revenue. Conduct outside sales calls, client visits, site tours, networking, and community outreach. Respond to leads and prepare proposals, contracts, presentations, and client correspondence. Negotiate rates and agreements within established hotel guidelines. Manage the sales process from initial inquiry and prospecting through contracting and follow-up. Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate account and activity records within hotel sales systems. Partner with Revenue Management and hotel leadership to identify need periods and develop targeted sales strategies. Coordinate closely with Catering, Banquets, Front Office, and Operations to ensure group and event commitments are communicated and executed successfully. Track sales production, account activity, and market opportunities and provide regular reporting. Build strong relationships within the Houston market and represent the hotel at industry and community events. Support the hotel’s overall revenue, occupancy, ADR, and market-positioning goals. Qualifications Previous hotel sales experience is required. Previous experience as a Hotel Sales Manager, Sales Executive, Catering Sales Manager, or in a comparable hotel sales role is required. Proven experience with proactive sales, prospecting, account development, and closing hotel business is required. Experience selling corporate, group, meeting, and/or event business. Strong understanding of the hotel sales cycle, including lead generation, proposals, contracts, negotiations, and follow-up. Full-service hotel sales experience strongly preferred. Hilton brand experience strongly preferred. Houston market knowledge and existing local business relationships are a plus. Experience with hotel sales systems such as Delphi, Delphi FDC, CI/TY, OnQ, or similar platforms is preferred. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment. Must be able to work on-site in Houston, Texas.
