Small to Medium Business Sales Account Executive

Job Summary The Account Executive at Optimum is responsible for driving revenue by managing client accounts, building relationships, and networking within the assigned territory to close deals. They act as the primary point of contact and face of the Optimum brand between the company and its clients, ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting sales targets. Responsibilities Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify potential clients through research, networking, and outreach. Qualify leads and schedule meetings or demos. Work assigned leads and turf. Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Present products and services to prospective clients; use a consultative approach. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals. Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Upsell or cross‑sell additional products or services. Follow orders to completion. Pipeline & Forecasting: Manage CRM tools to track opportunities and progress. Maintain daily mapping in Salesforce. Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management. Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Customer Success, Retention, Account Managers, and Regional Sales Managers; deliver seamless onboarding and post‑sale client satisfaction to earn referrals. Market & Product Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings; develop a deep understanding of Optimum’s products and services. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; 2–4 years of college education preferred. Minimum 2–3 years of field sales to small or medium businesses. Effective communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills. Self‑motivated and able to work independently. Proficient computer and technical skills. Valid driver’s license in good standing in the state of residence. Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk as required by the work environment. Ability to work full time. Preferred Qualifications Sales‑centric mindset with a passion for achieving targets and building trust with customers. Deep product knowledge of mobile and fixed‑line offerings; ability to translate technical information into customer‑friendly terms. Digital proficiency with CRM, POS, and other relevant software; adaptability to new technologies.
