Location: New Orleans, LA 70114 (100 percent on-site)

Employment Type: Full-time, exempt

Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; work performed is unclassified

Position Summary: Provides contract policy support within a diverse, high-tempo contracting environment. The specialist applies extensive federal procurement knowledge to research, analyze, and support contracting actions and data in full compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related acquisition policy.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a major in one of the following fields: Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, Contracts, Purchasing, Economics, Industrial Management, Marketing, Quantitative Methods, or Organization.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with extensive knowledge or understanding of direct federal procurement in a GS-1102 series (or equivalent) capacity, including direct Department of Defense procurement policy and acquisition management, regulations, laws, policies, and directives.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the methods of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems, with the ability to assist in developing concrete action plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical advice, staff coordination, and consultation to foster the formulation of guidelines, implementation of new developments, and expert interpretation.
• Prepare, track, monitor, and analyze contract data and present information in clear, concise reports.
• Run reports, analyze, and collect data for quarterly, monthly, and annual reviews.
• Plan and organize to systematically coordinate, track, and complete workflow in accordance with the unique procedures and guidelines of the Procurement Management Program.
• Communicate procedures and processes to management, coworkers, customers, and stakeholders, and provide guidance on pertinent changes to business functions and operations.

• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to compose and deliver clear, concise responses to complex customer questions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, MS Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
