A local machinery shop is seeking an experienced Sawyer to join its growing team. This hands-on manufacturing position is responsible for operating a vertical bandmill and other cutting equipment to produce metal stock according to job specifications.

A local machinery shop is seeking an experienced Sawyer to join its growing team. This hands-on manufacturing position is responsible for operating a vertical bandmill and other cutting equipment to produce metal stock according to job specifications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate a vertical bandmill and other metal-cutting equipment
- Measure, mark, and cut metal stock to required dimensions
- Read work orders, measurements, and basic shop specifications
- Inspect finished materials for accuracy and quality
- Safely load, position, and remove materials from equipment
- Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and production standards
- Previous saw operation, machining, fabrication, or metal manufacturing experience preferred
- Comfortable using tape measures and basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to safely handle metal stock and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work well as part of a team
