Phlebotomist / Full-Time 40 Hrs, Days M-F 10 AM- 6:30 PM

Responsibilities Perform venipunctures, including blood culture collection and fingersticks, ensuring proper identification, labeling of specimens, and use of vein preservation techniques. Perform and report bleeding times according to standard operating procedures. Maintain adequate stocking of supplies and report needs to phlebotomy leaders. Transport specimens from the site of collection to the site of testing. Participate in laboratory programs for quality assurance, competency, mandatory training, and continuing education. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Registration preferred: ASCP‑Registered, Certificate 1 preferred; NCA certification optional. 0–1 year related work experience required. Basic familiarity with computers and ability to navigate web‑based applications. Competencies Written Communications : Ability to read, write, and understand basic safety instructions; respond to routine questions; communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical center staff. Oral Communications : Ability to understand spoken English to follow safety instructions and discuss routine matters with patients, families, and clinic staff. Knowledge : Demonstrate basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to routine situations; no specialized knowledge required. Team Work : Interact respectfully with employees, professional staff, and external contacts to offer ideas, identify issues, and provide services. Customer Service : Deliver a high level of service to patients, visitors, staff, and external customers in a professional, service‑oriented, respectful manner; use active listening and problem‑solving skills; remain calm in stressful situations. Physical Nature of the Job Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements are sedentary, but the employee must stand for periods or move throughout the hospital campus. Pay Range $22.00 – $29.61 per hour. The wage range represents the base hourly rate. Actual compensation may vary based on seniority, education, training, experience, location, responsibilities, and applicable shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other lawful practices.
