- Surface (flat) grinding to hold flatness and parallelism
- OD grinding to hold concentricity and runout
- Fine surface-finish control to print specification
- Work to Pinewood's capability of holding tolerances to .0001
- Set up your own jobs, select and dress wheels, and perform in-process inspection
- Machine from blueprints, applying GD&T
- Take ownership of your work and stand behind the result
- 10+ years of precision grinding experience in a toolroom or short-run job shop
- Hands-on experience with precision hand grinders, spin fixtures and wet grinders
- Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances on flatness, parallelism, concentricity, and runout
- Strong wheel selection and dressing skills across materials and finishes
- Solid blueprint reading and applied GD&T knowledge
- Comfortable with standard toolroom metrology micrometers, indicators, height gauges, surface plates, surface-finish testers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and team-minded a fit for our culture of ownership, attention to detail, continuous improvement, and teamwork
- First shift, 8-hour days, full-time, in person
