Job Title: High School Occupational Therapist (OT) / Special Education Professional
Location: Lakeville, MN
Pay Rate: $45.00 – $50.00 / hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 35 Hours/Week | Monday – Friday (5 Days/Week)
Contract Dates: September 8, 2026 – June 8, 2027
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to support high school students (Grades 9–12) in Lakeville, MN for the 2026–2027 academic school year. In this full-time contract role, you will work closely with secondary students to foster independence, functional life skills, sensory integration, motor planning, and transition readiness within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Student Services: Provide individual and group occupational therapy sessions designed around high school-aged academic, functional, and post-secondary transition goals.
IEP Management: Conduct assessments, participate in IEP meetings, write comprehensive progress reports, and establish measurable goals for caseload students.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside high school teachers, special education staff, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and parents to support classroom accommodations and environmental modifications.
Life & Transition Skills Support: Help students develop daily living skills, self-advocacy, and fine/gross motor mechanics necessary for successful high school and vocational outcomes.
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active State Board License in Occupational Therapy for Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain).
Active Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) OT credential/license.
Prior experience with high school-aged adolescents or pediatric populations preferred.
Strong organizational skills for timely IEP documentation and caseload management.
